There are many churches that are easily accessible form Paris hotels. In fact, Paris is famous for its beautiful and historical churches, and many tourists visit Paris and the Champs Elysees simply because they wish to commune religiously with these marvelous structures. Many of the basilicas are so large, they can be viewed partially by going to the upper floors of Paris Eiffel Tower hotels and Champs Elysees hotels, although not all are easily accessible form the Champs Elysees and Paris Eiffel Tower transit stations. For example, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, a church built to commemorate and tone for the Franco-Prussian War, can be viewed from almost anywhere in Paris, but is a ways away from the Champs Elysees and Eiffel Tower areas.

La Madeline is a definite site to see, with its Greek columns of over twenty feet in height. Do not be fooled by the inside, however, because while this church appears to be a Greek temple replica, the inside is lavishly appointed with overly extravagant decoration. It was commissioned by Napoleon, but went through many leaders, builders, and purposes before its completion. St Augustin is one of the most beautiful churches in Paris, as you will learn by visiting any Paris France blog. However, it is lesser known, and the lines are much smaller, as well as the admission cheaper. Even if you wish to visit the more prominent chapels, this is one that you do not want to miss!
