Not all people are amenable to the idea of using used IBM servers for their office.  This is true for the larger companies that are used to having unlimited spending capabilities.  But for smaller office with limited budgets, this is an idea that is welcomed with open arms.  Anything that can help them save up on costs is music to the ears of the owners. 

That is why when I was hired as a consultant for this small start-up company, I immediately asked them how much their budget is for their equipment.  Of course as expected, it is not as much as I would want it to be but I would have to make do with what they can afford. 

I immediately contacted my favorite used components supplier if they had IBM iSeries servers on stock which they had.  Since the price here is lower than the other stores, I was able to fit all the needed equipment with the budget that they set.  The owners could not be anymore happier when I delivered and set up all the systems.
