Excellent technical support for Cisco customers
02/22/2009
More often than not you are perturbed and irritated when your provider fails to give you the required after sales services. You face problems and they go on unresolved. Neither the provider responds in time nor would it be economic to go for external support. Especially on technical issues because they involve a lot of expenses.
No such problems are confronted by you when you go for the Cisco products. Such products may be new or the used Cisco products. They not only provide an extremely useful and user friendly instruction booklet but their technical support team are available 24/7 online to support you with all the necessary information and help. In any case the Cisco TAC or Technical Assistance Center is only a phone call or mouse click away from you.
While most other providers will respond to your SOS calls calling the bug a regular feature not to be worried about, Cisco support team always comes up with possible remedies to your problems. The response you get is excellent and in most cases by the time you reach them again, the solution is ready at hand.
The feature comes up handy especially when the offenders are blocking the ICMP packets that are not RFC compliant. The problem occurs when your router is able to get MTU in the dimension of 1492 but is in the process of communicating coupled with MTU around 1500. In such case your router will send back an ICMP packet asking the sender to reduce the size to 1492 or such. If the sender has turned off his ICMP packet then he will not be able to receive your request.
